Absolutely Fantastic
This is a return visit for us . We have been staying at Castleshaw Holiday home for the last 2 years and from the first visit we have been very happy. The cottage is immaculate inside always pristine and very spacious. 3 amazing double rooms and a shower to die for !The village is only a 10 min walk and we just love staying here. Edward is always quick to respond to any queries and it is an added bonus that we can bring our 4 legged family with us too, they love the enclosed back garden which has plenty of room for them to run about. Perfect Birthday Staycation!

This is our second stay in this beautiful holiday home and it was fantastic! The home is spotlessly clean and it is located in a very quiet area in Castlerock, it is perfect for visiting the famous attractions such as Mussenden Temple, Castlerock beach and also not far from the Giants Causeway! We will most definitely be back! Many thanks Edward for everything!

Castleshaw is a beautifully presented & spacious bungalow situated in a quiet residential area. Oil-fired central heating. Good Wifi. The kitchen furnished with an electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine & dishwasher & plenty of crockery, glassware & cooking utensils. Welcome basket on arrival. The front bedroom has a comfortable bed & ample storage & hanging space. Good shower pressure in the bathroom. Our 2 Shih Tsu’s, Mia & Ozzy, enjoyed the fully enclosed garden furnished with patio table/chairs & a kettle bbq. Ample private parking. Exit estate right & Castlerock village & beach is a couple of minutes away. Surf Shack is dog friendly with nice coffee & cake. Exit estate left & the North coast awaits you including great beaches like Benone, Downhill, Portstewart Strand, Portrush etc & sights including Downhill Demesne & Mussenden Temple & Gortmore Viewpoint etc. The Point Bar & Restaurant is also dog friendly with decent pub grub. First class communications with Edward from booking & throughout our stay, many thanks. Highly recommended.

Bloody amazing!

Outstanding! Beautiful house, which has been furnished to the highest of standards with everything you could need. The three double bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lovely powerful shower with a fantastic freestanding bath. The town of Castlerock had everything you could need with an amazing beach. The other beaches close by were equally stunning. All in all a fanatic place to spend a week and we have already rebooked to enjoy it all again.

Excellent Holiday Home Location

Tucked away in a quiet development lies a little gem – Castleshaw Holiday Home, Castlerock on the stunning North Coast of Northern Ireland. The spacious house has everything you will need to make for an excellent holiday break. Just a short walk to the beach, easy access to shop, bakery and chippy! Beautiful inside and private enclosed garden and patio area outside! My wife and I know this area very well, the House is well placed for trips all over the stunning coast – this is our first stay in this holiday home and won’t be our last. All mod cons – wifi, etc.Our thanks to Edward for having the house sitting perfect for our stay and the welcome pack was very much appreciated.

Wonderful stay

We had a great stay in this beautiful home. The house itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The decor is lovely. The bonus of a stove in November was great and the enclosed back garden was great for our dog. The convenience to the beach, train station, coffee shops and pub make it a perfect place to stay. Thanks Edward for a fantastic break we would love to come back!

A little treasure of a place

A walk to a stunning beach, a short drive (2 miles) to a longer equally stunning beach which allows cars on it. Our dogs (and us) in second heaven. That’s all we wanted from this holiday but it had so much more. We were mainly visiting with family in Belfast so they were able to come and stay and we all had a wonderful time. The house is truly lovely, so well looked after and very very comfortable. Absolutely ideal for comfort and all amenities so close to the beaches – you feel as if you’re in a seaside village, without being right in the middle of it. We didnt even go into Coleraine for a ‘proper’ shop as there is a Spar and a CostCutter 2 minutes drive away which filled all our needs for the week. Edward (host) – you’re a treasure. Edward is so well organised with the mgt of the house and amenities and is on call for any issues. Very friendly and sooo helpful. Thankyou for that extra mile.

Brilliant holiday home

We are a family of 4 adults and a dog who have just returned from a lovely week’s break at Castleshaw holiday home. The house has 3 double rooms, well equipped kitchen and a good sized lounge to relax in after a day’s sightseeing. It has a large fully enclosed garden which our dog loved. It is in a quiet residential area of Castlerock and is within walking distance of the beach, shops and cafes. Excellent central location for visiting the north coast. We will definitely be returning.

Brilliant

We are a family of four plus our one year old pup and stayed at Castleshaw over four nights at the beginning of June and we were so delighted with our accommodation. Castleshaw is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped and really comfortable. The back garden is completely secure – brilliant for our pup to run around, and with having the added bonus of brilliant weather – we could sit out the back round the garden table and relax as the sun set. The house is ideally located just off the main road into Castlerock village, tucked in a quiet corner yet plenty of room for our cars. In fact our cars hardly moved as we regularly walked down into the village which had great facilities including a butcher, take aways, coffee shops and of course the marvellous beach. Edward has also been a brilliant host, kept in touch and nothing was too much trouble.We couldn’t rate Castleshaw highly enough and can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic house in a great location

Stayed for one week, and wish we were here for two! This is a wonderful house, the style is neutral in a way that makes you feel that you’re not in someone else’s space, but also feels homely in a lovely comfortable way. The rooms are all spacious, bright and welcoming, everything you need is here and everything is considered to make the stay feel easy. Special mention for the shower, it was easy to use and powerful, not always available in holiday accommodation! Its great we could bring our dog, she loved the garden! Zoomies possible in this space where at home the garden is smaller and filled with stuff! This is a great space for dogs and children if you have either or just for sitting in the sun having a cuppa if you don’t! Edward is a great communicator, and made the whole process as easy as you would want it to be. We will definitely be looking at the calendar when we go home and booking again for later in the year! Castlerock is a great wee place, and so close to several beaches you are spoiled for choice. I have already recommended this house to my friends and family and since coming home have booked again for later in the year!

Perfect pet-friendly cottage

Just returned from a 5 night stay in this holiday home and what a treat! Very very cosy and spacious – so clean and well looked after, really was a delight to stay at. Great location and able to use as a base to travel to the sights of the area including Dunluce castle, Giant Causeway, Mussenden Temple, train to Derry, Coleraine and wonderful coast line up to Ballycastle. The weather and storms made the scenery even more dramatic with waves and winds, really stunning landscape. The beds are so comfy and the house is well furnished, although have to also mention that Edward is a superb host, always on hand to answer and help promptly with all questions and queries. Loved the welcome pack too, thank you! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for family break (we are family of 5 with ages 16-10 and 1 dog)

A little gem!

We stayed in Castleshaw holiday home for 3 nights at the end of December 2021 and welcomed in 2022 there! I cannot recommend this wonderful accommodation highly enough! The bungalow is in a quiet cul-de-sac just 15 minutes walk from the centre of Castlerock, beach and train station. It is extremely clean and is equipped to a very high standard. The garden is enclosed and there is ample parking space. The beds were so comfortable, the power shower amazing and the log burner so cosy! Sadly our dog passed away just a month prior to our visit but this home is truly dog friendly! We had such a relaxing few days in this little haven! 😁 A special mention to Edward who was so friendly, efficient and accommodating both prior, during and after our trip. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we tried to rebook it for the next month! Sadly it was unavailable! ☹ We will definitely return here as it was simply perfect in every way!

Another perfect stay

We returned to Castleshaw for Halloween 2021 with our 9 year old daughter and 6 year old lab. Yet again we had an amazing and relaxing stay. Lots of beach walks, day trips and food! Castlerock just gets better each time for takeaway options. Edward is a fantastic host and property has more than you could ever expect. The main attraction for us is that this property is truly dog friendly!! Others who claim to be dog friendly are actually dog ‘tolerant’ at best but Shadow is welcomed every time. See you soon!

Brilliant stay at Castleshaw

We had a brilliant week in Castleshaw holiday home. A lovely bright, comfortable, cosy house, 15 minute walk to the beach and village amenities. We arrived to a lovely warm house, very clean and all mod cons. Perfect fully enclosed garden for the dogs. Comfy beds, great power shower and we made full use of the multi fuel stove in the large living room. The owner was great, leaving a welcome pack, useful local information and checking we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Relaxing home from home

This is the second time we have stayed at Castleshaw and won’t be the last. A beautifully clean and comfortable home, with everything a family would need, including our dogs. What a relaxing place, which was really needed after the last year. Great place for beach, golfers and walkers.

The best holiday home in Castlerock

We stayed in Castleshaw for a week in July and we couldn’t have been happier with the house. It was so spacious and clean. The house had all home essentials covered such as a tumble dryer and a dishwasher which came in very handy. We have stayed in a few different holiday homes in Castlerock but definitely Castleshaw was the best. We loved the outdoor space to sit down in the evenings to relax.We will definitely be back next year.

Brilliant stay

We have had a fantastic time in Castlerock. The cottage was lovely and comfortable. Very clean and a great location. Only few mins drive from so many beautiful places. Our dogs had a great stay too , beach is just down the road also there is a lovely dog friendly bar next to it so plenty to do with your fur babies . I’d reccomend to stay in this cosy cottage to everyone who love to get away and relax in the most beautiful part of the north coast .

Lots to do & see around Castlerock..When I arrived Edward welcomed me into his home with a welcome pack & anything I needed all I had to do was ask..We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & we will return in 2020! A comfortable and well equipped holiday home in a warm and welcoming village. Close to all the wonders of the Antrim coast, Castleshaw is a great base from which to explore. It is definitely somewhere we will return to as in our short stay we made so many new friends and saw so many new places.

Brilliant Holiday Home in a great location

Castlerock is one of the hidden gems of the North Coast and Castleshaw exceeded our expectations as a holiday home that gives easy access to enjoy it. Superb beach that is never busy. Good amenities in the town itself and train access to Derry to the West and Coleraine and all stops to Belfast to the South East. The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished and the Hazletons are more than helpful as hosts.

Lovely property with all modern conveniences. Close to the beach. We had a lovely stay in June. Nice to be welcomed with the fire lit and shown how to work everything. Beautiful coastline the best in UK in my opinion of were blessed with great weather unfortunately castlerock has nowhere to go for a nice meal out and only one bar open it would really benefit from some more facilities

Lovely cosy home from home

Lovely atmosphere and very nicely done throughout. Warm and a great stove in living room for winter months (melting on an evening if required!) Definitely got a homely feel and would happily stay again and would recommend to friends and others.

Would not stay anywhere else.
Despite reviews and glossy photos one never knows what your own experience is going to be like with an unknown holiday let or hotel but the booking was so straight forward and the location suited our needs so we booked anyway. To say the accommodation is just what we needed sums it up perfectly. We were only 2 but I can see how this would comfortably suit 6 without getting under each others feet, it’s a larger than expected property. We had everything we needed, everything was nice and clean, and everything worked as it should. There is a convenience store, rail station and the beach 0.5 miles away so an easy walk down wide pathways. The are is outstandingly lovely and we enjoyed long walks including a 10 mile ramble along the Causeway Coast from Carrick-a-Rede to the Giants Causeway, tricky but highly recommended. We hired a car and the sat nav took us straight to the property. The only addition I would make is a mirror on the bathroom windowsill for us who still shave the traditional way. There really is nothing negative so would not hesitate recommending a stay here. 10/10
